Raninagar, June 15, 2008 : Residents of Raninagar village in Nepal are threatening to stop water supply to India through the Gandak River. They are protesting against the 1959 river water sharing treaty. The residents, are taking out protest rallies for over a month now. The protesters have put forth their demands failing which, they propose to permanently halt the water supply. They claim that the Indian authorities have turned around the river water sharing treaty.
