I felt compelled to make fun of that song "What is love" with this title.. Anyhow.. You've heard of "open source", this is an example of what that is, and how programs are made, as well as what to look for when reading a source file, and how to identify the pieces of a kind of source code called a C script, or a C program file. In this video I explain C programming to a general level and what process a C script has to go through to become an executable program. I also discuss the differences between static and dynamic (runtime) linking of a program and the reasons for each static (packaging everything need together in a single executable) and dynamic (packaging only unique components and loading the rest upon execution of the program), and the advantages and disadvantages of each. As with all my videos, this is like a "run-on" , if you have a short attention span like me, you will be quite entertained by all the cool things I find out.. But I will warn those who expect something clearly laid out and clean, nothing is ever clear and clean as computers are as imperfect as the people who make them, so you will probably be bored, but in keep in mind you will learn something.. Besides there is plenty of tutorials on the net in text form for if you want to learn to program in C.. Think of this as a video of me perusing source code, talking to a friend (you) looking over my shoulder..
