Mumbai, July 31, 2008 : India, Australia and South Africa have given their confirmation that they would go ahead with the forthcoming Champions Twenty 20 League despite objections from the International Cricket Council. The boards met on Wednesday to announce the September 29 to October 8 event starting just a day after the Champions Trophy final in Pakistan. Last season of the Indian Premier League had set a benchmark in the television history.
